For Partners
Let Us Look After Them in Tokyo
An invitation to concierges, travel designers and international advisors
Your clients can buy almost anything in Tokyo. What they cannot buy easily is a doctor who will tell them the truth, in a room where nobody is watching, in a language they think in.
We are AFRODE CLINIC, a preventive medicine clinic in Omotesando. We work by referral, we do not advertise, and for that reason you may never have heard of us — which is precisely the problem we are writing to you about.
The people you look after arrive in Japan with a schedule measured in hours. Some of them are tired in a way that a hotel spa cannot reach. Some have been meaning to have a proper examination for three years. Some want something done to their face and are quietly afraid of being sold the wrong thing by someone who does not know them. When they are here, that part can be ours to carry. Send them to us, and we will look after them as carefully as you look after them.
That is the whole of what we are proposing. The rest of this page is simply the detail behind it.
The room they will walk into
What Kind of Clinic This Is

Private, and quiet
By appointment only, in a basement space five minutes from Omotesando Station. Guests are not seen by other guests. There is no waiting room full of strangers, no name called across a corridor.
One physician, start to finish
Your guest is seen by Dr. Shotaro Michishita, our Medical Director, from the first consultation through to the treatment itself. They will not be handed between a counsellor, a nurse and a doctor they meet for ninety seconds.
Built for a short stay
Most of what we offer can be completed within a single visit to Tokyo, including regenerative and aesthetic treatments that elsewhere would require a return trip. We plan around the guest’s itinerary, not ours.
In English, without theatre
Consultation and consent are conducted in English. If another language is needed, tell us in advance and we will arrange interpretation rather than improvise on the day.
What you can offer them
The Two Things Worth Coming to Tokyo For
Your clients can find aesthetic treatment anywhere. What is genuinely difficult to obtain elsewhere — and what we would like you to be able to offer them — is regenerative medicine that has actually been manufactured and tested properly, administered by the physician who assessed them.
01 Regenerative
iPS Cell Banking
What it is: induced pluripotent stem cells are created from your client’s own blood and placed in long-term storage. From roughly six to eight months afterwards, iPSF — the culture supernatant from their own banked cells — can be administered.
Why it travels well: banking requires a single blood draw of about 30 mL. No hospital stay, no procedure, no second trip. Your client can continue their itinerary the same day.
Why here: production and storage are carried out by I Peace, Inc. in Kyoto, which holds a licence from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for the manufacture of specified processed cell products. The underlying technology originates from the work of Professor Shinya Yamanaka, awarded the Nobel Prize in 2012.
Banking is a storage service, not a treatment. No iPS cell-derived therapy has been approved by Japan’s PMDA or the U.S. FDA. It buys an option, not an outcome — and we say that to every client before they decide.

02 Regenerative
Stem Cell Supernatant IV Therapy
What it is: a cell-free preparation of the growth factors, cytokines and extracellular vesicles secreted by mesenchymal stem cells, given intravenously. No living cells are administered.
Why it travels well: the preparation is manufactured and lot-tested in advance, so no culture period is required. Consultation and administration can take place within a single visit — unlike therapies using the patient’s own cultured cells, which typically require two trips to Japan.
Why here: this is the category that most needs scrutiny. In Japan it sits outside the Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine, and quality varies enormously between facilities. Ours is Japan-sourced human adipose-derived conditioned medium from a partner cell processing facility, with every lot tested for viruses, sterility, endotoxin and mycoplasma, and the report available to your client on request.
Not approved as a medication in any country. We do not offer it for cancer, neurological, cardiac or autoimmune disease, and we say so in writing.
Full details for your client →
We are aware that both of these sit in a field where a great deal is claimed and very little is proven. That is precisely why we have written the detail out in full on each page, including what is not established. When your client asks you “is this legitimate?”, we would like you to have something you can send them — and to be comfortable that it will hold up.
The experience itself
What Your Client Will Actually Experience
Three things that normally exist in three different places — advanced preventive medicine, regenerative treatment, and a serious collection of contemporary art — happen here in the same afternoon, in the same room, with the same physician.
| Arrival | Your client comes down one floor from Omotesando and is received alone. No queue, no shared waiting room, no name called across a corridor. The first thing in front of them is not a price list; it is the collection. |
| The consultation | Dr. Michishita sits with them — not across a desk, and not for ninety seconds. Preventive medicine is the frame: what their bloodwork, sleep, recovery and history actually say, before anything is proposed. If nothing should be done, he says so. |
| The treatment | If regenerative treatment is appropriate, it happens the same day. An infusion takes about an hour, in a room with leather, daylight and works from the collection on the wall — including pieces by Yayoi Kusama. An hour on a drip is still an hour of a person’s life, and we treat it that way. |
| Afterwards | The meditation room is available: planted, dimmed, quiet. Some clients use it for twenty minutes, some for an hour. Then they walk back up into Omotesando and carry on with their day. |
| What they leave with | A written record of exactly what was administered, lot information included, so any physician anywhere can act on it. And an experience they will describe to you in some detail — which, from your side, is the point. |
Elsewhere, these are three appointments
A screening clinic in one district, a regenerative provider in another, and a gallery on a separate afternoon — each with its own intake form and its own stranger asking the same questions. For someone in Tokyo for four days, that is most of the trip gone.
Here, it is one visit and one person
One physician holds the whole picture, from the bloodwork to the injection to what they should not schedule tomorrow. The setting is not a waiting room they endure on the way to a treatment; it is part of what they came for.
The space
Where Your Guests Will Actually Be
A clinic is a place before it is a service. Ours is a basement floor in Omotesando — concrete, daylight and planting — that doubles as a gallery. Works from the clinic’s collection, including pieces by Yayoi Kusama, hang in the rooms where people are actually treated, and they are changed over time. Guests who collect recognise immediately what they are looking at; guests who do not simply find themselves somewhere that feels nothing like a clinic. This, more than any equipment list, is what our patients tell us they value — and it is the part your clients will describe to you afterwards.

We are glad to arrange a private viewing of the clinic for partners visiting Tokyo, outside consulting hours.
What this is worth to you
Why an Introduction Here Carries Weight
We should be direct about something, because it affects what this partnership is actually worth to you.
AFRODE CLINIC works by referral. There is no public booking queue, no advertising, no campaign to be found by. The number of people seen here is deliberately small, and it will stay that way — because the moment it does not, the consultation stops being an hour and starts being ten minutes.
The consequence for you is straightforward. This is not somewhere your client can arrange for themselves. They can book a hotel, a table, a car and a private view without you. They cannot book this. It arrives through someone — and we would like that someone to be you.
That changes what you are offering. You are not passing along a treatment that is available on any search engine; you are opening a door that does not open from the outside. For the client, the value is not only the medicine. It is that you were the one who could reach it. That is the kind of introduction people remember, and repeat, and ask you for again.
Which is also why we will not work with everyone. We would rather have a small number of partners we can answer properly and quickly, than a list. If we say yes to you, it means we intend to be there when you need us.
To be explicit about what we are not asking for: no exclusivity, no minimum volume, no fee from you, and no access to your client list. The exchange is simpler than that — you bring us someone you care about, and we make sure you were right to.
Forms of collaboration
Ways We Can Work Together
There is no single template. These are the arrangements we have found work, and we are glad to start with the lightest one.
| A single introduction | You have one client in Tokyo who needs something. You write to us, we tell you honestly whether we can help, and we look after them. Nothing is formalised. This is how almost every relationship we have began, and it is the one we recommend starting with. |
| A standing arrangement | A named contact on our side, an agreed response time, and a clear written description of what we will and will not take on — so that your team can answer a client’s question without checking with us first. Suited to concierges, hotels and residences handling requests regularly. |
| Physician to physician | For clinics and doctors overseas: we correspond directly with you about a patient you are sending, and provide a record of what was administered, including lot information, so that you can act on it after they return. We are comfortable declining a case and telling you why. |
| Designing a stay together | Where a client is coming to Japan specifically for health reasons, we will help you shape the itinerary around what is medically sensible — which day the blood draw sits on, how much margin to leave after an infusion, what not to schedule immediately afterwards. |
| Groups, families and offices | For family offices and private client advisors: several people, screened and treated across the same stay, with continuity when they return to Japan. Banking in particular is often a decision a family makes together. |
We do not ask for exclusivity, volume commitments or fees from you, and we will not approach the clients you introduce independently. What we ask for is the chance to be judged on one guest.
What we can carry for you
What We Can Take On
| The guest who is exhausted | Fatigue and recovery care, intravenous therapy, acupuncture and manual therapy, sleep and lifestyle assessment. Often the most appreciated thing we do, and the least dramatic. |
| The guest who has been putting off a check-up | Preventive health screening, with results explained by the physician rather than posted as a file. Useful for people who are never in one country long enough to complete one at home. |
| The guest thinking about regenerative medicine | Stem cell supernatant IV therapy and iPS cell banking. We are unusually direct about what is and is not established in this field, including in writing, before anyone commits. |
| The guest who wants something done, discreetly | AestheFill® and other aesthetic treatments chosen for a natural, gradual result rather than an obvious one. Suitable for people who cannot appear visibly altered next week. |
| The guest who wants to keep the momentum | Personalised Kampo herbal medicine, nutrition, and conditioning with our trainers — things that can continue after they leave Japan. |
The part that matters most
What We Promise You
When you introduce someone to us, you are lending us something that took you years to build. We know exactly what that is worth, so these are commitments rather than aspirations.
- We will reply within one business day. Your requests do not arrive on a schedule, and an unanswered message is a failure on our side, not a delay.
- We will not sell your guest anything. If a treatment is not appropriate, we say so and we decline it. You will occasionally hear back from us that we turned down a booking. That is the point.
- We will tell them what is not proven. Several treatments in this field are elective care with incomplete evidence. We put that in writing before they decide, in language they can act on.
- Your guest’s privacy is absolute. No names, no images, no case studies, no mention that they were ever here — to anyone, including to you, beyond what they authorise.
- We will not go around you. A guest you introduce remains yours. We will not solicit them independently, and we will not use your client list as our own.
- We will be honest with you first. If we are not the right clinic for a particular guest, we will say so before they travel, while you can still arrange something better.
Who we hope to hear from
The Partners We Are Looking For
- Concierges and private travel designers building itineraries in Japan for clients who expect discretion as a baseline
- Hotels, residences and private clubs in Tokyo whose guests ask for medical care and deserve a better answer than a search result
- Medical tourism operators who want a Japanese clinic that will decline unsuitable cases rather than accept everything
- Family offices and private client advisors whose principals travel to Japan regularly and would benefit from continuity of care here
- Clinics and physicians overseas who have patients visiting Japan and want a counterpart they can correspond with, doctor to doctor
We are equally happy to hear from organisations in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and Oceania. What matters to us is not where you are, but whether the people you look after would be comfortable in a room like ours.
How it starts
How We Would Begin
| 01 You write to us | Use the form below. Tell us who your clients are and what they tend to ask for. Two paragraphs is plenty. |
| 02 We talk properly | A conversation online, or in person if you are in Tokyo, with the physician rather than a sales team. We would like to understand your standards before we ask you to trust ours. |
| 03 We agree how requests reach us | A named contact, a direct line for your enquiries, agreed response times, and a clear description of what we will and will not take on — so that you can answer a client’s question without checking with us first. |
| 04 We start with one guest | We would rather earn this slowly. Send us one person, see how they are treated, and decide from there. |
Partnership Inquiry
Let’s start with a conversation
No proposal to review, nothing to commit to. Tell us roughly who your clients are and what they tend to ask for — two paragraphs is plenty — and we will reply personally, in English or Japanese, within one business day. Every enquiry is read by us, not by an agency.
Email is the surest way to reach us. It goes to everyone on our side who handles partnerships, so nothing sits waiting for one person to come out of clinic. If you would rather keep it informal to begin with, a direct message on Instagram (@afrode_clinic) reaches us too. English or Japanese, either is fine.
Or write to us here
You can also reach us directly at procurement@mwp.work or +81-3-5843-0130.
