Important information on stem cell supernatant
• Not an approved medication. Stem cell supernatant has not been approved as a medication under Japanese law, and no product with the same components and intended effects holds Japanese approval.
• Safety information from other countries. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has stated that no exosome product has been approved, that such products intended to treat disease require premarket approval as drugs or biologics, and that it has received reports of serious adverse events — including severe infections — following administration of unapproved preparations.
• Elective, self-pay care. It is not covered by Japanese public health insurance and is not offered as a treatment for a diagnosed condition.
